Our client, a Microsoft Gold Partner specialising in security solutions, is seeking a skilled Power BI Developer. In this fully remote role, you’ll be instrumental in designing and developing impactful business dashboards using Power BI, enabling stakeholders to transform data into actionable insights for strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will be confident in working with Sentinel, Defender APIs, and Logic Apps to ensure robust integration and automation within the security environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and implement intuitive, security-focused Power BI dashboards to support critical business decisions.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to capture and translate requirements into impactful visualizations.
* Leverage Sentinel and Defender APIs to integrate security data and automate updates within Power BI.
* Work with Logic Apps to build workflow automation for real-time data processing.
* Create custom visualizations that reflect security metrics and align with business goals.
* Partner with Data Engineers to implement robust backend architectures, ensuring seamless data integration and accuracy.
* Connect Power BI to a range of data sources (e.g., SQL, Azure, cloud services) to automate updates and ensure accurate, real-time data flow.
* Develop ETL processes to clean and transform raw data, preparing it for analysis.
* Build scalable data models, employing measures, calculated columns, and DAX formulas for efficient analysis.
* Optimize dashboards for performance, ensuring fast load times and a smooth user experience.
* Provide thorough documentation and training to ensure continued usability and support.
Required Skills:
* Previous experience working with SOC teams is essential.
* Proven expertise in Power BI dashboard development with a focus on delivering secure, actionable insights.
* Strong experience working with Sentinel, Defender APIs, and Logic Apps for data integration and automation.
* Ability to connect Power BI to various data sources like SQL and Azure, maintaining security protocols and data accuracy.
* Familiarity with ETL processes, data cleaning, and building data models for analysis.
* Experience with DAX formulas, calculated columns, and Power BI measures.
* Knowledge of security-focused data integration techniques, cloud-based services (e.g., Azure), and SQL.
