An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, professional, and highly motivated person with administration support experience to join our clients friendly and vibrant medical practice in Rothwell for 6 months contract. The role will be split between two sites which are 1 mile apart.
You will be the assisting and providing support to the Operations Deputy, supporting with administrational duties, workloads, and projects on day-to-day basis.
The role of Practice Assistant requires the right candidate to have administrative knowledge and excellent organisational skills and competence through working in a busy role. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and able to communicate effectively at all levels.
Key responsibilities for the Practice Assistant:
* Developing and maintaining effective communication both within the practice and with relevant outside agencies
* Convene meetings, prepare agendas and ensure distribution of minutes as necessary
* Dealing with general patient’s correspondence/enquiries
* Supporting teams in project management and participating in department events
* Required to input, monitor and check data produced and required for on-going programmes and projects
* Understanding the organisations and local safeguarding policies and procedures Support the recruitment process
* Ensure that the practice complies with NHS contractual obligations in relation to patient care
* Ensure patient information is up to date and available
* Supporting the equality, diversity and rights of patients, carers, and colleagues
* Maintaining quality within the practice
* Applying practice policies, standards, and guidance.
Skills/Experience:
* Excellent organisational skills
* Able to multitask and prioritise work
* Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
* Use of initiative and ability to work unsupervised
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to exercise discretion and tact in dealing with confidential and sensitive matters
* Working well under pressure
* Strong IT skills.

Salary: £12.00 per hour. Part – time, Monday to Friday, 20 hours per week. The role will be office based.
