Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Press Officer to join one of the largest utilities companies in the Midlands. Location: Coventry Central – Onsite 5 days per week 9am – 5pm
Pay: £15.24 Per Hour
Duration: 3 Month Assignment
Start Date: ASAP
About the role:
As our new Press Officer, you’ll be helping to protect and promote the clients reputation with the media, their customers and with their stakeholders in the communities in which they operate. We’ll be looking for you to develop relationships with key journalists that will help generate positive media coverage and respond quickly to media enquiries.
You’ll also organise media interviews, brief spokespeople and often represent the company yourself in interviews whilst also confidently managing issues and liaising with the media in the event of incidents.
Key Accountabilities
• Work within the busy press office on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that we manage all media interest whilst protecting and promoting the reputation of the business.
• Help to promote core successes and strengths through writing and selling in press releases and features.
• Help to develop and implement a programme of proactive PR campaigns that support the broader business strategy and promote core strengths.
• Devise and produce content for proactive media campaigns.
• Write and prepare media releases for day-to-day news as well as large corporate announcements.
• Monitor media coverage and prepare regular evaluation reports.
