Gain Education is currently recruiting a School Kitchen Assistant for a short-term contract in May. This Kitchen Assistant role will be working within a delightful Kent school and has brilliant hours that work around school drop-offs and pick-ups.
The hours will be Monday to Friday 10:30 am – 2:30 pm.
Responsibilities for the Kitchen Assistant role include:
* Supporting Head Cook in a specific work section.
* Washing, peeling, and preparing food items.
* Using a variety of kitchen equipment such as mixers, special knives, and cutters.
* Unloading deliveries.
* Organising the Kitchen.
* Washing kitchen appliances, work surfaces, floors, and walls etc.
The ideal candidate for the Kitchen Assistant role will:
* Be motivated and hardworking
* Have a valid Enhanced DBS Check
* Have Food & Hygiene Certificate Level 2
* Have previous work experience as a Kitchen Assistant.
