Procurement Lead
Alexander Steele is recruiting a Procurement Lead to join a leading food manufacturing business based in Northamptonshire. This role is pivotal in ensuring timely sourcing, quality assurance, and cost-effective procurement of raw materials, equipment, and services. The successful candidate will be accountable for circa £35m spend and will be responsible for reviewing, negotiating and maintaining contracts and across the key areas within the business.
Responsibilities:
* Promotes innovative ways to add value and reduce costs within the category spend under their remit.
* Continue to establish and maintain ongoing relationships with preferred suppliers and new suppliers.
* Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the company’s needs
* Must be results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against KPI targets and project deadlines.
* Report and communicate on supply chain risk and opportunity.
Background Experience:
* 4+ years of experience in a similar role within a similar fmcg manufacturing environment.
* CIPS qualified
* Strong contract management and supplier experience
* Excellent ability to communicate with stakeholders across various levels.
* Strong negotiation skills
What’s on Offer:
* Paying circa £55,000
