As part of their ongoing digital transformation, a globally recognised education organisation is seeking a Product Owner to join the Education team. This role offers an excellent salary and benefits, and can be hybrid (1 day per week in Cardiff) or conducted remotely from the UK.

The role of the Product Owner is to be an enabler for the successful implementation of change within the company's Education division, and a particular focus on their credential products. They will coordinate between key stakeholders, and lead on building functionality used to issue credentials to students, through understanding and representing stakeholder needs, driving consensus on the requirements, giving direction to development teams, and managing the backlog for the products. Responsibilities will include (amongst others):

Oversee portfolio of products
Ensure business requirements are effectively gathered, formulated and prioritised
Lead on digital transformation of processes related to digital credentials
Provide direction to vendor teams by managing the product roadmap and backlog
Act as the primary liaison between the business, IT and 3rd parties to align requirements
Lead team members across multiple teams to deliver enhanced products The ideal Product Owner will have experience working as a Product Owner or similar, representing business and user needs and providing direction to development teams, as well as have experience in product development of systems/products with a 3rd party, and knowledge of agile development processes. The Product Owner will also ideally have experience with creating and managing product roadmaps, and possess excellent communication and analytical skills, combined ideally with experience of working on change / project initiatives. An understanding of digital credentials or a related area of education would be beneficial but by no means essential.
