Magenta are searching on behalf of our client for a Production and logistic Planner based in Kent, working for a progressing fresh produce company.

£29,000 per annum.

Days of work for this position are Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Fridays

You will be responsible for producing the daily production plans, the daily plan for all outgoing finished products, and all associated paperwork.

Main duties:

* Ensuring all relevant planning, logistics and administration activities are completed on a daily basis. This includes playing an active part in carrying out the following activities:

* Producing all daily production plans accurately and on time – volumes, run rates, WIP etc – and delivering to the Production team.

* Producing daily out loading logistics accurately and on time – customer depot orders, pick sheets, ASNs and load manifests, and distribute to Dispatch.

* Booking of vehicles though online portals and producing loads plans and delivery notes.

* Ensuring any shortages are communicated to the wider business appropriately

* Ensure maximum utilisation of fruit within Production

* Send weekly and daily staff requests to agencies as required

* Plan and prioritise daily operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay

* Determining manpower, equipment, and raw materials needed to cover the production demand.

* Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption

* Obtain, collate and communicate output information (service level, staff numbers, waste tracker, overpacks, WIP adherence, SIC etc.)

* Liaising with 3rd party haulage companies regarding collection times and traffic issues to ensure 100% service level is achieved.

* Completion of Customer Issue Log

* Training Planning and Logistics Administrators to conduct all activities to the required standard.

* Compiling weekly data to support Sales Admin investigations of overs/shorts etc.

* Maintaining records and archives to support audits.

* Attending daily Production meetings – shift handover, 9am, and Midday huddle

* Completion of dispatched pallet and dolly spreadsheet

* All other reasonable administration tasks associated with production, planning and logistics including rotas, T&A system, agency trackers, etc.

Who we are looking for:

* Previous experience in logistics / administration

* Continuous improvement mind set, keen to find ways to improve performance and efficiency
