Production Manager

The Production Manager will manage a multifunctional team to safely deliver against OTIF, Quality and Cost targets across a Production Team of 15.
This Production Manager's role is based on-site at our Crewkerne premises
Responsibilities for the Production Manager
* Oversees the work activities associated with producing the company’s products to ensure meeting
* production goals, quality and cost objectives
* Prioritises production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
* Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations and, at higher levels, controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor costs.
* Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas.
* Project Manages Non development programmes, NPI Transitions and special projects
* Ensure operational compliance with Company procedures and Quality requirements
* Identify and drive improvement initiative to reduce costs and improve on time delivery
* Responsible for applying, maintaining and improving lean manufacturing procedures.
* Play a lead role in developing processes and implementation of a new ERP solution
* Must have experience in Production Management in an engineering or manufacturing environment; ideally composites
* Experience managing teams of circa 15 people
* Responsible for H&S, training, production management, people management
* A strong awareness of H&S
* Strong experience with value stream
* Thorough knowledge of ERP
Ideally experience in lean, NPI and process improvements
This Production Manager’s role can be based on a 9 day fortnight
