Hours: Mon-Thurs – 6:30am – 4:30pm / Fri – 6:30am – 12:30pm + OT
My client provides high quality timber products for the construction of industrial, commercial and domestic landscapes.

The role of Production Supervisor:
Reporting to the General Manager, main responsibilities include being accountable for all areas of Production across the site.
Responsibilities of Production Superior include:
Manage daily production planning with assistance from the General Manager
Accountable for the quality of production across all departments
Hold daily meetings to discuss daily Production demand ensuring budget requirements are also adhered to.
Maximise production output and be accountable for downtime and efficiency targets.
Carry out weekly pre start checks of all Production machinery and report any issues to Maintenance Department when required.
Assist with training new employees
Keep up to date with relevant Health and Safety legislation
Conduct the annual review of risk assessments and SSOW
Ensure all staff in each Production department receive the relevant training
Work closely with the General Manager to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, the law and best practice
Coach and mentor 3 direct reports
Weekly calibration of Production data
Person Specification of Production Supervisor:
An experienced manufacturing sector Production Manager, Supervisor or Team Leader
An experienced middle Manager, competent in performance improvement, discipline, grievance and capability processes.
A "can do" attitude that motivates others, with a
Experience of managing Health and Safety Compliance.
Competent in delivering tool box talks
Attention to detail and happy to go the extra mile to deliver on time
Desirable:
IOSH Managing Safely Level 2
ILM Level 2 in Team Leading
First Aid Qualification
Fire Warden Qualification
FLT Trained
