Our client being a brokerage based in Hertfordshire boarders are looking for a Property Claims specialist. This role will be to support the claims department ensuring that claims handling and process are carried out efficiently and correctly from first notification to final settlement. Experience in the property sector especially the private rented sector is very desirable.

Duties include making payments, fraud detection and liaising with Loss Adjusters when required. Handling new claims. Obtain all required information at notification, analyse accurately this information and supporting documents to be able to validate and proceed with a claim to negotiate, settle and/or repudiate claims within delegated limits of authority and to refer all claims above delegated authority to underwriters with recommendations, Processing and Maintaining Client/Departmental emails (mailboxes). Prepare written responses to enquiries. Maintaining diary systems by written and oral communications and servicing calls where required.

Educated to a minimum level of GSCE or equivalent with at least an A – C pass in respect of English and Arithmetic. Experience of working in a claims environment . Excellent communication skills – written and verbal, focusing on customer service skills with a professional and friendly telephone manner and the ability to communicate clearly

Experience of working within an insurer or broker is acceptable
