If so, we have a unique opportunity in Birchington for a Technologist to work for one of our clients. In this role you will be working onsite, Monday-Friday/ 8am-5pm with an hours unpaid break on a 13-month fixed term contract.
Your main responsibilities will be to provide coordination and administrative support for the business Technical function.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical support for retail accounts acting as the key technical contact for designated customers
* Assist in the maintenance of customer specifications systems
* To assist in the management of supply chain and grower compliance
* Ensure relevant internal management systems are updated with correct supplier/customer technical information
* Support the production of technical reports, records and implementation of testing schedules
* Provide support to the sustainability team data analysis, report generation and meeting coordination
* Assist in environmental data submission for customers and any 3rd party members as required
* To assist in carrying out internal audits to BRC/customer standards
Skills and Experience
* Technical/QA background, preferably with technical training
* An advanced proficiency with MS Office products, particularly Excel
* Meticulous attention to detail and organisation skills
* A flexible outlook in respect of duties and tasks
* Experience of working with UK food retailers
* A knowledge of the technicalities involved in the production of fresh produce would be an advantage
* Knowledge of technical certification schemes such as Global Gap, Red Tractor and retail standards, would be beneficial
