Reporting into the General Manager, you will be responsible for the Quality Control and Assurance of the business and its systems along with the successful introduction of new products.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily customer requirements are achieved

Oversee all products comply with all performance specifications

Accountable for business objectives and to ensure KPI’s are achieved

Report monthly the departments performance against target during regular meetings

Continually explore the continuous improvement possibilities within the department and effectively use the resource available to ensure it is implemented when required

Develop internal/external customer relationships to assist in the rapid resolution of quality problems across all sites

Ensure all customer complaints are closed out according to the specific root cause using both internal and external processes and procedures

Assist with planning and assignment of required work for the quality team, and the necessary development of personnel

Responsible for employing, termination, disciplinary and performance decisions within the team

Provide support to the manufacturing team to contribute to improved daily product processing

Conduct IATF 16949 Internal Audits

Manage New Product Introduction process across both paint and ancillary processes

Deliver New Product Introduction projects that are 100% fit for manufacturing

Manage the internal/external Calibration process for all manufacturing equipment

Integral part of document approval and control

Ensuring all activities conducted within the department meet all documented processes and procedures designed to protect the people, products and business

Skills Required:

Good standard of education

Must have extensive experience recently working in a similar quality manager role

Experience of working in a B2B sector is preferred (manufacturing, automotive, engineering)

Internal audit experience

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Experience of People Management (desirable)

Strong presentation skills

Able to demonstrate delivering KPI targets

Automotive experience is preferred

Project Management skills

Some travel to other sites, pool car is available

Salary £47k basic, hours mon-thurs 8.15am-5pm, Friday 3pm finish, office based, pension 5%, 25 days + bank holidays, car park, training & development opportunities
