Overview

The role requires you to manage, recruit and develop a sales, business development and account management team in order to drive the Company Strategy.

Main Duties

• Plan your monthly & annual budgets as well as managing profit and loss for the sales team       

• Leading from the front, you will be responsible for learning the job too, picking up new business, growing existing accounts and retaining business

• Making sure costs are down for sales & marketing to ensure business is profitable

• Calculating personal and team margin targets

• Plan and deliver agreed Gross Profit budget within region.

• Day to day management, training and development of direct reports.

• Managing new business targets, margin driving categories, spend per customer and focus brand targets.

• Attend visits with members of your team to gain New Business and secure Existing customer relationships.

• Organise and deliver monthly sales meetings.

• Organise and deliver annual appraisals and quarterly reviews with direct reports.

• Recruitment of new staff.

• Managing the relationship and profitability of key accounts.

• Working with Depot Managers to plan & deliver Net Profit targets.

• Create and present information to Company directors.

• Research and alertness of all competitor activity.

Experience required:

•             Experience managing a team of 4-10

•             Commercial experience within the FMCG / Drinks industry

•             A great track record in sales and growing teams
