Business Development Manager
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £40000 – £45000/annum + Car + Bonus + hybrid working
Business Development Manager required to join a reputable Payroll Bureau and expand on CIS clients. Hybrid working with office visits to Derby 1/2 per week Monday to Friday therefore all locations considered within commutable distance.
Job Overview
The Business Development Managers goal is to expand on our clients current CIS Client base by researching markets, identifying new business opportunities and creating strategies for growth. As a key member of the team the role requires working with people at all levels on a professional but friendly basis. The post holder will have excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
Responsibilities
* Research and identify new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services – or new ways of reaching existing markets presenting findings to the team and executive members of staff
* Seek out the appropriate contact in an organisation
* Generate leads and cold call prospective customers
* Meet with customers/clients face to face and or over the phone
* Fostering familiar relationships between clients and the business development team
* Following up on client leads
* Being knowledgeable about CIS and services offered by the business
* Raising the company profile by attending exhibitions and seminars
* Suggesting new projects such as product development to tap into new markets
* Being aware of market trends and competitors
* Maintaining a positive attitude that inspires co-workers and clients to grow the business

Skill Requirements and Personal Attributes
* The ability to sell CIS payroll services to the Construction Industry
* The ability to sell ideas and services
* A drive to seek new business
* Excellent time management and the ability to multitask
* A strategic and creative mind with good decision making skills
* Excellent customer service Skills
* Solid IT skills and knowledge of standard Microsoft software
* The ability to motivate yourself and others
* A solid understanding of business and marketing principles
* A full UK Driving License
Previous Experience/Education
* 2 years experience in a CIS Services Sales role
* Proven sales results in the CIS industry
* Preferred – Educated to A’level standard or higher
