Business Development Manager UK & Ireland – Circa £60K basic plus bonus, company car, pension, health insurance and other benefits.

We are appointed as the sole consultants for our client, a leading Manufacturer in the Electrical & Electronics related market place, and as such have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager for the UK & Ireland, to drive and develop sales with new customers, both in their traditional and non-traditional market sectors. The company has a global presence with 6 production sites and a daily commercial presence through its own service centres and network of distribution partners throughout the world. Investing heavily in R&D, the company philosophy has remained unchanged being to design and manufacture high quality products, useful accessories, product improvement and value added services for demanding applications in its market place. New product launch is due this year which will provide access to new markets and additional growth opportunity.

Suitable candidates are likely to be individuals with solid sales experience and typically with an engineering background having extensive experience of the industrial automation and control marketplace (Power, Process, Packaging, and Transportation). The ability to work with, through and motivate distributors and resellers is of high importance, as is the ability to recognise potential opportunities and applications for the products in a proactive manner. This role will suit a driven, self-motivated and well organised individual, with the capability to present and form relationships at all levels, work in a planned and strategic manner to achieve business goals.

You will be Home based/Field based and it should be noted that extensive travel will be required in throughout the UK and Ireland, a valid driving licence and the ability to spend nights away are required. Perhaps ideal locations would be East or West Midlands locations with good access to rood networks to access all areas of the territory, however suitable candidates in other locations will be considered.
