BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE – RENEWABLE ENERGY

Salary : £35000 – £40000/annum

Our prestigeous client involved in the Renewable Energy sector; specifically solar panel installation and supply to business throughout the whole of the British Isles are on the lookout for a BD EXEC who has recently been out and about as opposed to desk based or managing a team of these people throughout the UK, selling ideally solar panels to business.
This is a national role however head office is based in the North West and initially the client would like the BD person to visit the offices around twice per week for which overnight hotel stays will be arranged,
The role basic salary is quite negotiable hence 35-40K and our client is looking at the level of business potentially that the successful applicant will bring to the business and therefore this person must be a successful new business winner and be able to show proof of client wins within the industry throughout the country. The successful candidate will need to have experience / understanding of finance arrangements, in particularly a PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) and as a result the cost to the client for their energy is absolutely zero.
The role comes with company car or car allowance – can be negotiated along with bonus package to be discussed at interview which would initially be via teams then face to face in the North West.
As you would have been out and about visiting clients selling a similiar product recently we are looking for a keen and enthusiastic individual with bags of energy to promote the product throughout the country. This is a newly created role within the business, the client had previously and still obtains its work from a broker and are in a huge period of expansion and growth. All expenses are paid predominantly a home based role but requiring 2 days in the north west weekly initially.
If you have sold a similiar product to business throughout the country in the renewables sector we would be delighted to hear form you right away please note you will be the only BD person within the business and therefore we are not looking for team managers or Directors.
NB: NOTES
again heavily incentivised with uncapped commission structure, so highly motivated, self-driven people who will actively attend trade shows, knock on doors etc…
Main considerations will be industry knowledge / experience, existing client base, excellent knowledge and experience of PPA sales / negotiations (able to demonstrate this).
We’ll be looking to implement KPI structures for each role, with commission structure to be anywhere between £10 – £20kW for closure of deals, depending on the method of bringing work in. I.e. self driven would be the higher scale and utilising incoming workstream from website / SEO etc would be the lower end.
To give an idea of commission scale, with the current markets and our business plan is to invest capital for 15 – 20MW of solar in the next 12 months, which would equate to circa £(phone number removed) in commission next year and our business plan target of 65 – 100MW over the next 3 years equates to a potential £1.3m – £2.0m commissions over this period, all of which is up for grabs to the sales / BDM teams. Obviously the sky’s the limit and if we can over achieve these targets, our new investors have circa £1bn to invest so you can do the maths on that
