The company have recently become an Electric Vehicle Partner to two leading suppliers of Electric Vehicle Charging products in the UK. These partnerships have now given the company the capability to offer installers, commercial and residential customers a unique EV Charging proposition
With sizeable scale of opportunity to increase market share the company are now seeking an Electric Vehicle Business Development Manager
THE ROLE
* Partner Relationship Development. Target and build trading relationships with commercial and residential installers
* Preferred Brand and Supply Route. Sell the advantages of our brands and ensure we are the chosen route for supply
* Business Opportunities and Projects.Consistently generate a sales pipeline of EV opportunities and projects and take personal responsibility for converting these into sales orders with the support of the manufacturing partners
* Management of Supplier Opportunities. Ensure our management of supplier projects or customers is first class to encourage them to migrate more opportunities or business towards Rapid over other distributors.
* Enquiry and Quote Management. Lead, manage and ensure quotations are delivered quickly leveraging the company’s value proposition in line with the Company Pricing Policy
* Ownership of Customer Strategy. To lead aspects of EV sales strategy including internal tactical sales activity, online and offline marketing activity aligned to EV business objectives
* Service Excellence. Ensure all customer service issues are resolved with a high level of customer satisfaction
* Customer Data.Consistently use the company’s CRM to record relevant customer contacts, as well as improving customer data to support the contact specific marketing strategy
REQUIREMENTS
* Educated to HNC/HND/BTEC/ONC in the field of Electrical/Electronic Engineering
* Demonstrable record of successful negotiations and contract delivery within the Electrical Contractor or Electric Vehicle Industry
* Experience working with Installers, Contractors and residential customers
* Product knowledge across some or all of the following area – connectors, passive components, transformers, switches, sensors, relays, test & measurement
* Multi sector sales experience in Electronic Manufacturing Automotive, Electronics, Power Generation or Renewables
* Demonstrable track record in both key account management, field sales and business development
* Capable of managing multiple sales projects and day to day transactions
