Salary: £22,000 to £23,000 pa

Contract: Permanent, Full Time – 8am to 5pm (1 hour lunch)

We are currently recruiting for a confident and enthusiastic individual to join a growing team, with the foresight to take their own initiative as a Sales Administrator.

This role delivers professional, customer focused sales & administration services for our clients Sales Division and is a great opportunity to gain exposure into a successful career within sales!

Please note; this position will be office based within our client COVID Secure Stevenage premises.

The Role:

You will administer customer quotations & sales to meet the expectations of the business customers, and ensure all delivered are dealt with in a timely and professional manner at all times.

Duties of The Position:

* Offer on-going administration support to both internal & external sales representatives

* File and archive customer purchase orders in a timely, accurate and efficient manner

* Receive and process sales enquiries from customers, both by telephone & email

* Deal with customer queries in a timely and efficient manner, rectifying any issues

* Process of all post sales administration documentation, as per business requirements

* Assist with additional administrative tasks as and when required

* Develop & improve own performance, through learning & development activities

* Assist in recording market knowledge, to include; prices, competitor activity, customer activity and so on

* Seek and establish competitor market knowledge, activity, customer activity, and action in line with commercial policy

* Up-selling products

Skills required:

* Selling & negotiation skills are highly desirable, as the successful applicant will be speaking to both customers and suppliers daily by phone and email

* Local geographical knowledge is an advantage

* Organised with ability to prioritise daily workload

* Experienced in using various IT systems & Microsoft packages – Good Excel is essential

* Pro-active information seeking & questioning techniques is important for this role!

* Self-motivated and able to work under your own initiative, to meet deadlines

* Usage and knowledge of SAGE would be an advantage, although not essential as training will be given
