The business is an SME, with 150 employees and 60 years of manufacturing heritage. They have a global supply chain and export over 30% of their product to a world-wide network of customers. The operation consists of a fabrication facility, assembly area, large yard, logistics area and finished goods stores with the majority of product designed and manufactured by the company at their UK site.
Sales Administrator Salary and Benefits
* £23,000 – £27,000
* Monday to Thursday 7:30am – 4:15pm, 12pm on Friday’s
* 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays

The Role
This business is looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic person, who is looking for a permanent role in a busy office environment to work as a member of the Export Sales Team to provide day-to-day support serving global markets. Dealing with all forms of customer communication, making certain the voice of the customer is always heard. To support the Export Sales Team whilst they are in the field, enabling them to liaise with customers effectively. Always working in a positive and professional manner to meet and exceed customer’s expectations.
Sales Administrator Person Specification
* A self-starter, who isn’t afraid to ask questions.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills. With the ability to effectively communicate and work with employees and key contacts at all levels.
* Proficient in using ICT equipment and systems including Microsoft Office programmes, particularly Word and Excel.
* Basic knowledge of export processes and documentation. Previous SAP / CRM experience would be useful.
* Must have the ability to work as part of the team and under own initiative as appropriate, within defined authority limits.
* Demonstrate good time management skills and flexibility to meet the expectation of their customers.
* Ability to quickly understand the basics of engineered / bespoke products, their functions, and applications. Full product training will be given.
Sales Administrator Key Responsibilities
* Receiving, logging and processing customer enquiries. Preparing customer quotations in a timely and professional manner.
* Communicate with other departments, to gain lead time and price information to enable the customer quotation to be completed.
* Entering customer orders on to SAP system, ensuring that they are reviewed and authorised in line with company policy, prior to verification. (Within 24 hours of receipt)
* Liaise with internal departments (e.g. technical, financial, production), as appropriate, to check the order progress. Pro-actively communicate with customers and Sales Team on their order status’.
* From time to time communicating difficult news to customers when they have to make reappraisals of their initial delivery promise.
* Recognise issues that need to be raised to senior management and report this in a timely manner to their line manager.
* Other ad hoc activities to support the team and drive processes forward.
