Sales Ledger Assistant 6 month FTC – P/T

Stonegate Group is now recruiting for a Sales Ledger Assistant for a 6 month fixed term contract, this role will be part time, 21 hours a week, 3 days a week.
Purpose of the Role:
The Sales Ledger team supports managed pubs with their reconciliation of till transactions, to Head Office payments. These vary over several ledgers, including the handling of deposits, hotel bookings, Dark Kitchens, 3rd party bookings, gift experience and internal charges.
Reporting to the Sales Ledger and Pub Reconciliation Manager, the successful candidate will be part of a team of 5, responsible for the processing of financial transactions in line with group policies.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Experience of journal postings
Understanding general ledger
Reconciliation of general ledgers
Competent in Excel and Outlook
Experience of Navision desired but not essential
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Friendly and helpful attitude
Competent working individually, as well as part of a team
Clear and logical thinking
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines and ability to prioritise
Duties and Responsbilities:
Daily reconciliation of payments against HO till payments
Period end balance sheet reconciliations
Understanding processes so that we can support managed sites with queries
Investigating transactions processed incorrectly and correcting entries
Ensuring that transactions are put through the till correctly and advising sites of correct procedures
Liaising with the audit team, sales teams and finance teams
