Job Type : Permanent, Full Time

Salary : £50000/annum Up to £50K DOE + Package

Experienced SAP / Business Systems Developer required for large manufacturing company based in Plymouth. The successful candidate will review, recommend, implement and continuously improve business systems using hardware and software necessary for our client to achieve business objectives. You will be required to Support Business leaders in the development and progress of project mandates, Business cases and undertake the lead role for specific projects as required. Support and manage programme risks, identify skills gaps to help continuously develop the staff within the Business systems team, and to support training for the Business leaders if required.

Support Business through each step of the strategic road map to progress from the current SAP landscape, ECC/SAC Analytics/Sales Cloud to progress and transition to S/4HANA for the complete ERP platform which will be used throughout the Business longer term. The real essence and scope of this role is to continue to develop and sustain a stable foundation within the current SAP platform to support operational excellence and meet Business needs. Within scope, the future target condition is for a smooth transition to S/4HANA as the future ERP platform. This role will be pivotal to its success for both the strategic objectives set out within the scope.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support the company’s improvement plan. Project manage to achieve short-, medium- and long-term milestones

* Deliver company business systems vision which is to have “A single , simple, efficient , accurate and powerful enterprise system that helps us manage our business from end to end to achieve the best outcome for all stakeholders, that is real time, flexible, user driven and well managed”

* Review existing company business systems and practices to gain full understanding of company current practices working with departments and key stakeholders

* Provide technical leadership on business systems improvement through a structured approach, to include definition of tasks and activities

* Make recommendations for improvements to business systems with agreed timescales, cost, quality and security considerations to improve the performance of the business.

* Manage the implementation of these improvements by engaging all stakeholders and working through the existing organisation structure.

* Coach and mentor stakeholders to ensure full maximisation of the potential improvements to company business systems.

* Present and implement technological alternatives to streamline functions and improve productivity.

* Monitor and seek to continuously improve business systems performance

* Other Adhoc duties as required which could include and not be limited to, training.

* Comply with applicable Company policies and procedures.

Essential Experience, Attributes and Qualifications Required:

* Five to Ten years previous experience of business systems improvements and re-engineering with ERP systems.

* In depth knowledge of SAP ECC in most core modules – PP/MM/SD/FI/IV

* Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.

* Ability to identify key metrics and use them to drive improved business performance.

* Strong Solution Orientation when it comes to SAP Systems, for change requests and improvements.

* Excellent problem-solving skills

* Excellent Communication and Organisational skills with the ability to liaise and work with multiple teams to solve and implement solutions.

* Ability to perform initial testing of problem fixes, change request and enhancements.
