Hours: Monday to Friday (term time only)
10am to 2pm
An exciting opportunity to join a team has become available. We are currently seeking a conscientious and committed catering assistant to join us onsite and provide a safe and happy environment to both clients and staff. This is a hands on role that requires high energy and passion for a spotless environment. You must work to a high standard, have attention to detail and most importantly take pride in your work.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Supporting chefs in a specific work section.
Washing, peeling and preparing food items.
Using a variety of kitchen equipment such as mixers, special knives and cutters.
Unloading deliveries.
Organising the Kitchen.
Washing kitchen appliances, work surfaces, floors and walls etc.
Basic food preparation
Chopping veg and making salads
Helping Chef and Sous chef with any other catering needs
Maintain high levels of hygiene and comply with all food hygiene regulations
Carrying out basic food preparation, serving meals to children and staff, washing up and cleaning the kitchen and dining room

Requirements:
Must have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
Must be able to provide two professional references which covers the last 24 months of work/study periods
Some previous kitchen/catering/cafe experience would be ideal
