School Chef (Term-time only)
The responsibilities of the School Cook will require the appointee to assist within the catering department to ensure that catering throughout the school meets the school’s objectives, maintains the highest possible standards of food services whilst providing a warm welcome to students, staff and visitors.

Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities
* Provide service for approximately students, staff and visitors, seven days per week for three terms per year and for visiting groups at other times
* Ensure that food produced meets the nutritional standards required by children growing through their early and teenage years
* Contributes new recipe ideas
* Makes adjustments to accommodate students with allergies or specific dietary concerns
* Plan and prepare for events ensuring that the catering at all times reflects well on the school
* Support and play a role in managing the performance of members of the catering department,
* Contribute to arrangements for purchasing/ordering and financial administration
* Contributes to maintaining production records, stock reconciliation and waste control
* Ensure you meet all school and legislative administration and reporting requirements
* Ensure all Health and Safety and Hygiene procedures and standards of performance are followed
* Hold suitable technical and professional qualifications for the role as advertised

Terms & Conditions
Pension: The School will contribute a percentage of pensionable salary towards a pension scheme.
School Fees Remission: any child of a teacher who, having satisfied the entry requirements, and at the Proprietor’s discretion, is admitted as a student to the School will receive the benefit of the staff discount of 50% remission of the School fees.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 10:30 to 18:30 – term time only. Attendance at key events is required including Parents’ Evenings, Information Evenings, Concerts, Productions, Fixtures, Presentations and Prize-Giving events.
Probation Period: an offer of employment will be subject to a probation period of one year, during which employment will be subject to termination with half a term’s notice on either side.
Notice Period: following probation, you will be required to give the School one term’s notice.
Free Meals: will be provided throughout the year when the School’s kitchens are open
