School Cook

30hrs per week (08:30-14:30) – Monday to Friday (Term Time)
Description:
Our client is looking for a school cook who will help the Canteen Manager designing menus and leading with food preparation and cooking, training and directing the team.
Duties include:
– Designing daily menus
– Preparing and cooking meals from the planned menu in accordance with Health & Safety Regulations.
– Overseeing the preparation of food that need special dietary requirements.
– Carrying out daily Health & Safety checks in the kitchen and surrounding areas before opening e.g storage temperature checks, visual checks and hazards.
– Recording daily food temperatures in line with HAACP regulations.
– Regular equipment checks to ensure all kitchen equipment is clean and in safe working order.
– Ensuring food is labelled correctly.
– Stock control, reporting goods to be ordered
Enhanced DBS essential. If you don't have an enhanced DBS you could still be considered if you have suitable experience.
