School Cook
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £15182 – £16763/annum
SNS Recruitment are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic & reliable Cook to join our clients school located in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
As the School Cook you will have full operational responsibility with consideration of financial aspects for this busy primary school kitchen.
Within this role you will be focussing on delivering the highest quality of food and service along with flair, originality, and the ability to further develop new ideas.
Workings hours:
* Term time only.
* Monday to Friday
* 30 Hours Per Week
* 38 weeks per year (Based around term time)
* 5.13 weeks holiday entitlement
Salary:
* £15,182 to £16,763 Per Annum
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, develop, coach, train, and inspire the team in your kitchen
* Have full control of the catering operation in the school kitchen including stock and food costs
* Ensure consistency of food and service standards in the school catering operation.
* Support promotions including Census Day events
* Manage and improve all controllable costs
* Oversee the main kitchen and menu development
* Maintain systems & procedures, and legislation
* Carry out regular audits
* Work with parents/ carers to meet individual dietary requirements as appropriate.
Ideal Candidate will have:
* OND or HND qualified would be advantageous
* Experience of production of meals using fresh ingredients Knowledge of health and safety practises
* Willingness to be a ‘Team Player’ across the wider school
* Experience within a similar environment.
