Special needs learning support staff needed across Suffolk
Strategy Education are recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants with experience of SEMH/Autism/ ADHD/SPLD/PMLD/and SLD to join outstanding special needs schools and resourced provisions based in Suffolk.
We have long term contracts with immediate starts and long term and permanent contracts from September/October 2024.
About the Roles
• SEN Teaching Assistants for Primary, Secondary and FE SEN settings.
• Roles across Suffolk
• Either 1:1 supporting a specific child, or working within small groups.
• General classroom support.
• Prior experience supporting students with special education needs (SEND).
• School hours Term time only.
• Full time long term contracts with the opportunity to become permanent position
About the Schools
• We are looking for Special needs teaching assistants in Ipswich, Lowestoft, Bury St Edmunds, Haverhill, Sudbury and Felixstowe
• Catering to students with a variety of special needs including speech, language and communication impairment, SEMH, Autism, ADHD, PMLD and SLD
• Both Permanent and contract work available with good rates of pay
• Schools offer thematic tailored curriculum with a focus on removing barriers to learning
• Supportive team environment amongst teaching and support staff and therapists
In order to be considered for these roles SEN Teaching Assistants will need to meet the following criteria:
• Proven and relevant experience as a Teaching Assistant with a SEN classroom environment (minimum 6 weeks)
• Have strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills
• Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
• Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks
