Senior Accountant/Manager
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £40000 – £55000/annum Good all round benefits
Due to continued growth and expansion, our client, a well-established, multi-office accountancy practice, is looking to recruit a qualified Senior Accountant/Manager for its office in Bicester. This is a fantastic firm that has a focus upon the wellbeing and development of its employees.
The successful candidate will provide a professional accountancy service to fee paying clients. The role will involve accounts and tax work for a client base including limited companies and sole traders and over time, you will take on more responsibility. You will also support managers in the running of their portfolios.
As Senior Accountant/Manager, you will:
* Liaise with clients and provide financial information and advice
* Produce year-end accounts
* Complete self-assessments and corporate tax returns
* Maintain records and prepare accounts and management information for small businesses
* Support managers and directors
* Support and mentor trainees and junior members of staff
* Planning of jobs
* Review junior's work to in order to support them through their studies
To be considered for this role, you will be:
* ACCA / ACA qualified or equivalent with at least 2 years post qualification experience, or at least 5 years QBE
* Able to demonstrate financial management experience
* Legislatively compliant – ability to interpret and relevant legislation to clients
* Experienced in working with clients in a busy accountancy practice
* Able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of accounting systems – Sage, QuickBooks, Xero and ideally CCH
* An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing
