Now is a fantastic time to join the NHS SBS family as we have once again been recognised as one of the UK’s Great Places to Work! Right now, we are looking for a Senior Audit and Assurance Officer to join our team.
The role is to promote audit & governance throughout the organisation and support the facilitating of the enterprise audit plan. You will have regular contact with the audit representatives across the Sopra Steria group and support them in their preparations for monthly audit meetings.
This hybrid role will be predominantly home based, eventually with only 1 day a week required in the office. To ensure the new starter has all the training and support they need to become successful in this position, there will the need to travel more frequently to our Southampton based office during the first few weeks.
What you will be doing:
* Oversee the audit plan and assist with internal and external audits
* Be a reliable point of contact for executive leadership team and audit sponsors
* Ensure completed audits meet business and sponsor requirements
* Support with administration of audits throughout the year and all aspects of planning for audit fieldwork
* Nurture and maintain great working relationships with colleagues and customers
* Support with the contract management of our third-party auditors
What you’ll bring:
* A keen eye for detail and a passion for following process
* Experience of working in an office environment with basic MS Word/ Excel skills
* A flexible and proactive approach to work
* Ability to plan your own schedule and stay organised enough to work to SLAs
* Strong communication and rapport building skills
* An understanding of how to deal with sensitive information with appropriate discretion
It would be great if you had:
* Previous experience working with NHS
* Previous experience in an Audit role
