About your role

As a Risk Analyst, your day to day role will involve leading the monitoring of acquisition, asset and portfolio trends, leading several risk initiatives and projects, as well as provide risk analytics that support and drive the local and European business towards achieving their KPIs, whilst maintaining appropriate risk disciplines.

Your Key Responsibilities

* Lead multiple risk initiatives and projects, with a strong focus on speed and excellence of delivery, both locally and centrally, as required, e.g. new product assessments, among several others.

* Produce analytics in line with business priorities, providing the operation with the capability to resolve problems statistically, using SAS/WPS.

* Work closely with the business to ensure analyses are providing insights that are relevant to local market conditions.

* Support development and monitoring of UK credit policy, scoring and auto decision logic

* Review acquisitions and portfolio trends, transforming data into recommendations to the business, identifying both risks and opportunities that require action.

* Act as business SME within the Risk team as required, leveraging previous experience and knowledge of products, processes and models within the financial services sector, in areas such as:

* Acquisitions: including Policies & Procedures, Auto Decision Logic monitoring, CRT system development, acquisition strategy monitoring and Delegated Lending Authority (DLA) monitoring.

* Products, Pricing & Governance: including pricing inputs and profitability review, new product assessments, collections strategies and preparation of materials for the monthly Risk Council (RC).

* Cost of Risk (CoR): providing monthly losses and recoveries numbers, tracking monthly CoR and vs the budget, producing the monthly pre-close, assessing impact of new product proposals on the CoR

* Net Banking Income (NBI): providing monthly losses and recoveries numbers, producing the monthly pre-close, creating the annual budget, running and upkeep of the VT and RV provisioning model, assisting the OEM with RV related queries

* Portfolio monitoring; including maturity, composition, forecasting models, delinquency and monitoring packs.

* Liaise with other departments to respond to data requests quickly and accurately

* To ensure ongoing adherence to all relevant compliance regulations that may govern the UK business and complete all regulatory knowledge training, where applicable

* Attend key business committees as a representative of the UK Risk team, or standing in for senior members where required

* Build and maintain critical / effective working relationships with key business partners across diverse departments

* Undertake peer/2nd analyst reviews to ensure important processes are correct and fully documented with clear process guides

* Where possible, supervision and coaching/mentoring of junior colleagues

* Identify and implement efficiencies in codes and processes wherever possible

What will set you apart

The Risk Analyst is key role in and we expect our colleagues to have the following qualifications, skills and knowledge;

* Degree educated in financial related field, e.g. Mathematics/Statistics, Economics, Business or Engineering or equivalent

* Credit risk experience, ideally in automotive consumer finance or retail banking

* Experience in developing monitoring and reporting packs, from WPS/SAS code to Excel charts and to produce high-quality, board level, presentations

* Experience developing and implementing acquisitions and provision models, as well as credit and collections strategies
