Senior IM&S Buyer

Salary : £35000 – £43000/annum
About the Role:
As a Senior IM&S Buyer you will be responsible for leading and implementing the IM&S sourcing and contracting process for one or more specific site(s) to optimize cost following Global and Regional Category Strategies and procurement guidelines. You will serve as primary contact to site(s) for the strategic and tactical sourcing of IM&S categories. You will work in a close collaboration with Regional and Global Category Management and local Business Stakeholders.
Your main tasks include:
Sourcing and Market Research
Drive the site sourcing process for all relevant IM&S categories considering global and regional category strategies and supply base.
Analyse trends and market movements for use in making sound procurement decision.
Advise and assist site stakeholders in other functions in the evaluation and pricing of alternate materials. Advise on trade practices, pricing, market conditions, delivery terms, and utilization of technical services of vendors.
Identify and guide local/site cost savings and cost avoidance opportunities following IM&S and business targets and business needs.
Introduce and guide creative/differentiating ideas to change ways of working /specifications into the site with an outside-in mindset.
Support the global and regional category management teams in the roll out of global and regional strategies within the site. This includes sourcing (including RFx's and Make category specific recommendations to Global and Regional Category Management for relevant site(s).
Foster collaboration between global, regional and local procurement, GBS and site stakeholders by ensuring transparency, effective communication and understanding.
Provide sourcing support to local site stakeholders and communicate with GBS.
Vendor Selection
Select vendors according to corporate assessment criteria (quality, financials, sustainability/responsible sourcing, risk etc.) and consolidate preferred supplier base.
Initiate search for new or alternative materials or products
Actively support the responsible sourcing and sustainability projects implementation
Investigate and approve requests for vendor creation
Ensure appropriate documentation of bid results following guideline
Negotiations and Contract Management
Solicit and analyse quotes, negotiate prices and delivery terms and investigate invoice discrepancies
Negotiate annual and long-term contracts and provide information to the relevant users (e.g. category cards, GBS teams)
Implement global, regional and local agreements and support the financial targets as outlined by IM&S Procurement and the business.
Conduct local negotiations with suppliers and ensure adequate contract cover within the portfolio and for spend as defined by the Head of Procurement IM&S EMEA and according the Global Delegation of Authorities/Signatories policy.
Review and approve purchase requisitions/orders and other vendor related administrative workflows
Measure performance of vendors concerning quality of work, cost, timelines and other related parameters
Ensure appropriate risk evaluation within the IM&S risk framework and implement mitigation actions while meeting needs
Facilitate sourcing and contracting issue escalation and resolution
Reporting, Process Management and Delivery
Support site and GBS teams on sourcing and contracting matters daily
Be a first point of escalation for the site(s) towards GBS teams
Create and update information in SAP
Implement the IM&S processes and systems on the site following the global procurement guidelines
Maintain existing catalogues and drive the implementation of new catalogues
Ensure up-to-date Savings Tracking Tool (PVTT)

Your professional profile includes:
Bachelor degree, Local Procurement or Commercial education
3+ years' experience in a Procurement within an international environment
Bachelor's degree, Local Procurement or Commercial education
Fluent English
Solid understanding of procurement processes and systems (e.g. SAP)
Willingness to travel
