As a result of our clients growing demands for their award winning range of combustion engines and a number of exciting development programmes, we are seeking a Senior Regulatory Affairs Engineer to work in the Homologation and Compliance team.

The post will suit an individual looking for an opportunity to develop their career at the cutting edge of engine/primary power source design and development.

Key aspects of the role are:

Regulatory Affairs: You will be responsible for leading several regulatory affairs workstreams on an ongoing basis, periodically representing the company within Trade Associations. The key focus areas will be Hydrogen engine regulations and environmental legislation development.
Dissemination and Implementation of Regulatory Changes: Ensure all stakeholders are fully briefed both during regulatory development, and after publication.
Process development: To support continuous improvement, and ensure compliance activities remain current and effective – support/lead (as appropriate) the update of processes and implementation of systems.
About you

Education: Ideally educated to HND/degree level in an appropriate area (engineering, science, legal or environmental). Have a sound understanding of key engineering principles (i.e. showing an attention to detail, and being data driven).
Experience: Experience within either an engineering, regulatory affairs, or legal fields. Previous powertrain experience is advantageous, but not essential.
Communication: Superb communication skills are essential. You will need to work with, and influence at multiple levels within the company, and external organisations. Complex information will need to be communicated in a manner accessible to all.
Attention to detail: A strong attention to detail is required in order to drive consistent and robust regulatory compliance.
A drive for personal development: It is recognised that experience in areas of all the role requirements is unlikely. Therefore, a successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a willingness to drive their self-development, learn quickly and assess their limitations.
