Senior Security Engineer

Salary : £100000 – £130000/annum plus Excellent Benefits
Up to £130k – Office based working from Central London Office – Senior Security Engineer for a market leading company.
Due to significant growth an opportunity has arisen for a Senior Security Engineer to join this hyper growth global start-up who are bridging the gap between traditional capital markets and digital asset markets (or Finance 3.0 as it's now being called).
Applicants should see themselves as wanting to grow & develop to become a CISO in 3-5 years’ time and be willing to work on a programme of development to reach that goal – academically and with project delivery – The company will work in conjunction with you to plan this programme.
Whilst this is a security focused role, you will still provide a senior technology support function and ongoing project-based engineering work across the technology estate, including desktops, servers, networking, public cloud and applications, both off the shelf and bespoke.
The ideal Senior Security Engineer will need:
* Significant 10 years + experience as a Technical Support Engineer/Application Support Analyst, Project Engineer – most recently leaning towards security projects
* Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments
* Networking knowledge to CCNA level or higher
* Security experience, hacking, pen testing, auditing with relevant technical qualifications
* Deep AWS knowledge
* General system administration skills – desktops, AV, monitoring tools, PBXs, etc
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
* A wide exposure and history of tackling security projects within complex environments
