You'd be joining the Engineering team. In this role, you will support the Shift Engineers and report directly to the Site Engineering Manager and Operations Manager when needed. The role involves maintaining the infrastructure, facilities, and property standards to ensure a safe and efficient working environment. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Primary Responsibilities:
Optimize property conditions, ensuring high standards of service and safety
Perform 1st fix response for fault-finding in basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and decorating tasks
Maintain infrastructure, facilities, and buildings across the site
Adhere to and improve Health & Safety (H&S) standards
Ensure area standards meet audit requirements
Challenge current processes to identify improvement opportunities
Carry out equipment and plant condition appraisals
Diagnose and repair faults in domestic water systems, sanitation, and basic electrical installations (single and three-phase)
Recognize, report, and rectify substandard conditions of building finishes, fixtures, and fittings
Perform basic plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry tasks
Enter data into the CMMS System, including remedial work and parts bookings
Assist the hygiene team with guard removal and installation to aid cleaning
Conduct planned preventative maintenance tasks, including:
Greasing bearings and checking machinery integrity
Meter readings, daily maintenance checks, and plant room inspections
Cleaning and changing filters
Monitoring cooling systems, water levels, and usage
Completing root cause analysis with site teams
Contractor control and supervision
Health & Safety and Compliance:
Report any Health & Safety concerns or machinery issues to the Site Engineering Manager immediately
Ensure adherence to 5S standards and maintain a clean workspace at all times
Enforce compliance with Health & Safety regulations and ensure all staff follow procedures
Ensure appropriate PPE is worn in designated work areas
Qualifications / Experience Required:
Skilled in buildings maintenance
Experience in maintaining equipment within a services/utilities environment
Familiarity with CMMS Systems
IEE Wiring regulations qualification (desirable)
Competency in:
Strong health and safety awareness
Hands-on technical skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
