Senior Maintenance Manager: London, various – c£52,000 – £60,000 DOE

We are a leading landscaping company with brand new projects starting imminently all over London and we need a Senior Maintenance Manager to overlook these projects.

Reporting directly to the Head of Soft Landscaping you will use your professional and proactive approach to enable and manage the maintenance of up to 20 high end, soft landscaping schemes across central London. This would include maintenance up to PC and might (in time) include maintenance only for Prestigious Clients.

Responsibilities and Duties:

♦The Landscape Maintenance Manager will line-manage and inspire the landscape maintenance team to deliver the highest standards upheld by the company.

♦Ensure that the maintenance team is continually improving, increasing profit margins, and upholding its reputation.

♦Plan, schedule and implements maintenance visits ensuring that the correct resources are deployed with the appropriate tools and materials for each job.

♦To implement a planned maintenance programme for all machinery and equipment.

♦To implement a quality assurance strategy for landscape maintenance

♦Act as lead point of contact for maintenance operations ensuring that site visits are communicated, and maintenance reports are completed and submitted.

♦Keep in regular contact with all existing clients ensuring that regular visits are completed with the

♦Client to ensure high standards are being maintained and issues dealt with promptly ♦Liaising with other project teams to coordinate maintenance activities on project pre and post practical completion.

♦Ensure all Health and Safety requirements are met across all activities and where required ensure RAMS are in place and up to date.

♦Procure and build equipment renewal schedules and plan for maintenance and repairs.

Qualifications and Skills:

♦A recognised horticultural qualification and previous experience in the management and maintenance of soft landscaping

♦Professional qualification in landscape management and/or horticulture – NVQ Level 3 minimum ♦PA1 and PA6 certification

♦IOSH or similar

♦Full and clean UK driving license.

♦Training and career development, within the role, is expected.

♦Great communicator who can effectively listen and has the ability to follow up to internal and external emails and queries.

♦Organised and proactive with good operational planning (strong project management skill set).

♦Excellent interpersonal skills, you will be liaising with clients and designers, so this is a key skill.

♦Excellent organisational and influencing skills.

♦Be competent at administrative tasks and have advanced PC skills including Excel, Word (or Pages) & PowerPoint, invoicing, ordering and scheduling.

♦Must be able to work on own initiative with a proactive and flexible attitude.

♦The ability to be flexible to meet the needs and demands of the role.

♦Ability to work well within a team.

♦Comprehensive plant knowledge.

♦Experience with irrigation systems and water features.
