Soft Services Manager – Healthcare

Salary : £250 – £350/day
We are currently working with a leading Facilities Service Provider to recruit a Soft Services Manager on an initial interim basis to oversee the catering and portering services at a large healthcare site in the Oxford region
Hours 40 per week, Monday to Friday nut the site is a 24/7 operation and there may be a need to meet with staff or carry out inspections outside these working hours
The role:
▪ Manage, co-ordinate and lead the cleaning, catering, and portering teams optimising the use of internal and external resources, exercising budgetary control to achieve performance, quality service and the strategic objectives of the business.
▪ The development, implementation and monitoring of service level agreements and key performance indicators in line with the contractual requirements and Healthcare Clean Standards. Including customer satisfaction and use of benchmarking to measure productivity to enable continuous improvement.
▪ Ensure appropriate levels of employee retention through effective leadership, motivation and development of a talent pipeline through effective Personal Development Reviews.
▪ Comply with all Company & Client policies, site rules and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness and COSHH. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards in your work place and training of staff.
▪ To provide timely reporting and trend analysis across the Soft FM business functions.
▪ To maintain positive Client relationships with all business partners, engineering and support teams and to own the client relationship.
▪ To ensure that the Soft Services team are aware of and undertake their tasks/responsibilities and are provided with the appropriate tools and other facilities to enable them to undertake their duties
Staffing responsibilities:
Cleaners 82 and Supervisors 7 plus agency staff covering sickness and holidays
Porters 30 and Supervisors 4 plus agency staff covering sickness and holidays
Required Experience:
Prior NHS experience is essential as the candidate will need to be familiar with NHS Cleaning Standards. Staff are managed in line with NHS policies and procedures.
Management/Leadership experience as it is a challenging diverse staff base.
Experience in FM and PFI required, it is a client facing role, good communication skills.
