Right now they require a Software Engineering Manager supporting a team developing data applications
YOUR ROLE
* Manage a team of engineers developing readable, well-tested applications, APIs, and libraries
* Develop and maintain a strong engineering culture within the team, in both technical and social components
* Ensure the delivery of technology initiatives through design to iterative development phases
* Establish clear requirements for engineering projects in coordination with a Product Manager
* Evaluate engineering design proposals in a technical capacity
* Evaluate and develop the technical performance of individual contributors
* Guide engineers through their career progression and personal growth
* Mentor junior engineers
* Uphold engineering standards in terms of software and systems quality and performance
YOUR BACKGROUND
* 6+ years of software engineering experience (Java or Go or Python)
* 2+ years of direct people management experience
* Extensive prior work with cloud-based systems
* Broad experience developing high-throughput backend systems, at the infrastructure and software levels
* Deep understanding of observability concepts and tooling
* Strong ability to review, write and evaluate code
YOUR TEAMS TECH STACK
* Go, Python, or Java
* ScyllaDB, Cassandra, NoSQL databases
* Amazon AWS services
