Software Test Engineer

Our client is the world leader in developing high performance software and hardware products.
They are looking for a Software Test Engineer to contribute by helping to measure the accuracy and validity of highly complex systems using a range of manual and automated approaches. You will have significant opportunities to drive technical direction, and the potential to provide leadership and insight into what constitutes robust, accurate and functional systems.
You should be able to work autonomously and deliver in-line with the product plans whilst working collaboratively with the wider team environment. We offer a hybrid on-site/home-based working environment.
Requirements
• Previous similar DESKTOP APPLICATION SOFTWARE test engineer experience
* Highly motivated and self-driven
• A positive attitude with strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including fluency in written and spoken English
• Ideally proficient in test management tools (TestRail preferred) and in defect management tools (Jira preferred)
• Ideal if you possess good knowledge of Agile testing methodologies and best practices
* Able to mentor junior team members
Strong candidates will have
• 3+ years as a DESKTOP Software Test Engineer, with a background in software and hardware projects.
• Comfortable and confident in designing suites of test cases that test the capabilities of a system to its limits.
• Highly motivated individual with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal skills
