Job description
Sous Chef
Duties:
– Assist the head chef in managing kitchen operations and food preparation
– Oversee and coordinate the work of kitchen staff
– Ensure that all food is prepared and presented according to established recipes and quality standards
– Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
– Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
– Assist in menu planning and development of new dishes
– Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
Requirements:
– Previous experience as a sous chef or in a similar role
– Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety regulations
– Excellent communication and leadership skills
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
– Attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality dishes
– Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Note: Bartending experience is not relevant to the Sous Chef position, so it has not been included in the job description.
