The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen working as a Sous Chef, you will collaborate closely with the Head Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations. You will ensure customers consistently enjoy top-tier culinary experiences.
Responsibilities:
Oversee kitchen operations, including food service, when the Head Chef is absent.
Provide guidance to junior kitchen staff, covering line cooking and food preparation.
Monitor food preparation and presentation to uphold quality and restaurant standards.
Assist in kitchen organisation, staff training, and upholding elevated standards.
Guarantee food storage complies with safety regulations and is efficiently managed.
Collaborate with Restaurant Management on procurement, budgeting, and staffing.
Uphold strict quality, hygiene, and cleanliness standards in the kitchen.
Manage food inventory and order supplies efficiently to reduce wastage.
Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef.
Interest in Scottish cuisine and local produce.
Creative thinking and the ability to develop daily specials.
Ideally located in Scotland or willing to relocate to Aberdeen.
