Sous Chef
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £35000/annum + service charges
Our client is a leading hotel, with an amazing new concept Botanical restaurant and bar.
They are looking to recruit an experienced Sous Chef to join their dynamic team.
This Sous Chefs position is for someone who has a previous experience in a fast paced kitchen ideally in a fresh food concept.
The position involves- • To work within defined minimum standards which will apply to all food & beverage operations, and to ensure that these standards are continuously maintained. • Implementation of all brand specific standards and menus. • Running the kitchen when the head chef is not on duty • Ensuring your brigade has high culinary standards • Managing food purchasing and storage • Maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment • Ensure training of all staff to the required standard, identifying training needs and co-ordinating training activity. • Monitor the performance of all kitchen staff. • Providing guidance to junior kitchen staff members, including, but not limited, to line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating • Ensures a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated and organized for quality assurance • Work with head chef to maintain kitchen organisation, staff ability, and training opportunities
Work Experience
The successful candidate will have previous experience of working in a high volume kitchen operation, with a proven track record of delivering results. • You will need a passion for hospitality, exceptional customer service, great quality fresh food, customers and people • A strong, ambitious individual, looking for a challenge, driven by 100% customer satisfaction. • Open minded and flexible with the ability to innovate at all times. • Be a team player with the desire to develop yourself and those around you. • Adaptable in their approach and able to work in a fast changing environment • Not afraid of hard work and the ability to be hands on.
