Sous Chef – Part time
An exciting position has become available for a part-time Sous Chef based in Southampton. The successful candidate will earn £15 per hour.
The position is intended to give the successful candidate a healthy work life balance, whilst being able to help achieve the targets and goals of the business and enjoy being part of a positive and friendly member of the team.
The hours are flexible and designed to meet the needs of the business as well as the needs of the employee. These can be over 3, 4 or 5 days or over several half days. This can be discussed and agreed at interview stage.
You will join a young, exciting, progressive company, and be part of a friendly team working together to achieve a common goal.
Role Requirements
* The successful candidate will have a passion for producing fresh home cooked food to a high standard in a busy environment.
* You will have excellent communication skills along with the ability to manage and organise yourself effectively and efficiently.
* You will be able to work well under pressure whilst maintaining good attention to detail and be an upstanding member of the team.
Role Responsibilities
* To assist in the preparation, cooking and presentation of the menu.
* To maintain, clean and use where necessary all kitchen equipment
* To maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen areas in line with current EHO standards.
* To apply the necessary practises and procedures to maintain food safety protocols.
* The head & Sous chef is charged with the duty of overseeing all kitchen operations
* To operate within current targets and budget constraints
* To provide the necessary facilities, assistance and support to aid the smooth and effective operation of the business.
