Sous Chef – Wilmslow

PRS are recruiting on behalf of a key client for a full time permanent Sous Chef for one of their highly rated restaurants in the affluent Wilslow area. The salary for this role is £28,000 per annum plus benefits. However there is the opportunity for this role to be a Head Chef position if the right applicant is interested and this will be reflected in a higher salary to reflect this. This is an independent restaurant chain that has been established for several years and having opened their second site recently are looking to expand further.
The restaurant in question serves an eclectic range of freshly prepared cuisine, with a focus on small plates, standards and quality. Due to its outstanding reputation the restaurant serves upto 150 covers per day on weekdays and 250 per day on weekends. You will be part of a strong kitchen brigade who are experienced and been together for a good amount of time. The restaurant serves breakfast, Lunch and Dinner so shift patterns will reflect this.
As Sous Chef you will need to be able to demonstrate good leadership skills and be able to manage a busy kitchen when deputising for the Head Chef.
Besides having good experience in a similar set up it is crucial that you are adaptable and flexible to the needs of the business and be able to handle very busy service periods.
