What we need  
Our client is a well-established leader in providing vegetation management and environmental services on the Highways across the UK. The company are committed to maintaining the safety and aesthetics of our highways while preserving the local ecosystem. With a strong focus on quality and safety, we are currently seeking an experienced Highway Site  Supervisor to oversee Vegetation Clearance for an 8-week project on the A12 near Ipswich.
 
What you will do
As a Highway Site Vegetation Clearance Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of our vegetation clearance project on the A12. Your experience in highway supervision and your SMSTS certification will be essential in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment while upholding the highest industry standards.
 
– Supervise and lead a team of field personnel engaged in highway vegetation clearance activities.
– Ensure the project is executed in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
– Coordinate work schedules, equipment operation, and manpower to meet project deadlines.
– Conduct regular safety briefings and inspections to maintain a safe work environment.
– Manage project documentation, including daily reports and safety records.
– Collaborate with project stakeholders and communicate progress effectively.
– Utilize your experience to make informed decisions and solve on-site challenges.
– Ensure that project goals are met efficiently and within budget.
 
What you will need
– Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
– Proven experience in supervising highway vegetation clearance projects.
– Strong knowledge of highway vegetation clearance methods and best practices.
– Excellent leadership and team management skills.
– Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
– Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work effectively under pressure and make informed decisions.
– Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
