This amazing temporary role is a unique opportunity to showcase your expertise and skills with a world leading Formula 1 business in Northamptonshire. The role is due to maternity cover and so will continue through til end November 2024.

The role is working as the Supervisor for a restaurant front of house team within a high class, high performance, staff restaurant. This is no ordinary role as the client takes people performance and nutrition extremely serious so not only is the food varied and quality high quality, the level of service and attention to detail has to match. Typically serving upto 800 covers for breakfast, lunch and providing refreshment in between.

You will be a key member within the team and the person that secures this position will be crucial to the success of this dynamic company on its race/road/hybrid projects. Working hours Monday to Friday 830am to 530pm but with the possibility of small deviation from this from time to time.

Note you will require own transport as the site is not well serviced by public transport

What you will do:

Restaurant

* Establish and maintain set up standards for the Restaurant and ensure they are adhered to on a daily basis

* Lead in the setting up of the restaurant ready for all services

* Serve customers and ensure the smooth running of all services

* Manage the restaurants software programme called Systopia

* Lead in the organisation/ordering of foodstuffs and ancillary restaurant consumables

* Lead in the cleaning of the restaurant area after any service

* Liaise with service providers to ensure maintenance and services of all equipment is carried out in a timely manner

* Supervise the flow of customers through the restaurant to ensure the best possible experience and continually work to reduce queue times

* Ensure all staff are fully briefed on a daily basis and that every team member is fully aware of their responsibilities

Kitchenettes

* Ensure all the kitchenettes around the facility remain well stocked and clean

* Ensure all beverage facilities are operational on a daily basis

* Liaise with service providers to ensure maintenance and services of all equipment is carried out in a timely manner

Hospitality

* Establish and continually strive to improve the hospitality standard of all offerings

* Supervision of the delivery of all hospitality to all required areas, ensuring food and service is to the required standard

* Ensure all staff are briefed on any function/hospitality offering they are required to work on

* Assist with special functions (this may require weekend work)

* Lead with the organisation and co-ordination of any special internal and external services.

Customer Service

* Ensure all customers enjoy their experience with any of the services offered

* Ensure all customer feedback and comments are resolved in a timely manner

* Engage with customers to gain feedback on how the Pitstop offering can be improved on a continual basis

Supervision

Coordinating a very motivated and experienced team of 9 people

* Training and motivation of staff

* Ensure all customer requirements are delivered in line with the expectation

* Ensure all staff are fully aware of their daily responsibilities and know where to seek guidance if required

* Promote a culture within the team that members can come forward with ideas and seek to improve the offering of the Pitstop

What you will need:

Minimum of 5 years Front of house experience within a 4 star or Michelin Star restaurant

•In-depth understanding of food and service and silver service

•Able to motivate staff and be a strong leader

•Catering management essential

•Excellent relationship building skills

•Strong financial awareness of the business

•Able to work in a multicultural environment and without sponsorship

* 12 month contract from november 2023 to Nov 2024, full time at 42.5hrs/week with day hours only (830 to 530) although occasional weekend work may be required
