Landmarc support services are currently seeking to recruit a Team Leader at Swynnerton Training Camp in Staffordshire.

As the Team Leader you will be responsible for managing a team of operatives dedicated to camp management and service delivery.  Typical tasks conducted by the team include; ensuring the camps facilities are fit for purpose, grounds maintenance, housekeeping, preparing training areas for use and access control.

We are looking for someone who either has previous knowledge of working on the Defence Training Estate or someone who has a background of working in a rural environment.

This role is based on a permanent contract, covering 37 hours per week, this will include some weekends, a Variable Days Allowance has been provided to reflect this.

Main ResponsibilitiesResponsible for co-ordinating your team as their line manager and first point of contact for task allocation, and work checking and process management

Be part of the team and not just a leader. 80% of the role will be working alongside your team

Responsible for maintaining stock levels

Management and operation of plant and machinery

Responsible for allocation and handover of training area’s and ensuring they are fit for use

Ensure that the facilities adhere to safe systems of work and that the accommodation and ranges are fit for allocation

Grounds maintenance across the training areas

Rural, forestry and arborical work

Equipment testing and calibrating in sustainability tasks

The Ideal CandidateExcellent knowledge of Health and Safety, COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments, and safe systems of work

Excellent communicator with people on all levels

Previous working knowledge of Estate Services and Maintenance

Be comfortable with working outdoors in all weather conditions

Ability to operate plant machinery (qualifications held desirable)

Basic IT skills with ability to use databases and Microsoft Office

Prepared to undertake further training

Must hold a full valid UK driving licence (essential)
