Team Teach Teaching Assistant

Salary : £65 – £85/day
Provide Education are seeking a Teaching Assistant (TA) with Team Teach (TT) training for a provision within a primary school setting supporting a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN) based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious TA with an up to date TT certificate to join our agency for a position supporting a group of children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH). This will be an extremely rewarding role but will require someone who can be highly resilient as pupils will present highly challenging behaviour at times. This a full time position working on an ongoing basis from September 2023.
We are looking for candidates with a minimum of Maths and English at GCSE, Grade C or equivalent and an in date Team Teach certificate. Ideally, you will have specific experience and skills of working with children with SEMH or have the transferable skills to be able to support children with SEMH in a challenging environment. An understanding around the complexities of SEMH is a great benefit to support your success within this role and as a person you will be passionate and dedicated to supporting the education of young people and be committed to making a real difference.
Typical School hours are 8.15am-3.30pm with an hour for lunch. Any variance to this will be confirmed by your consultant prior to your assignment.
We are looking for candidates who:
* Have previous experience working as a teaching assistant.
* Have Maths and English Grade C at GCSE or equivalent
* Previous experience working with SEN children.
* Team Teach qualification or have used positive and effective behaviour management strategies
* Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
***You must have a recent DBS that is on the DBS update service or be prepared to undertake a new DBS with Provide Education.***
