Technical Support Engineer
Job Type : Contract, Full Time
Salary : £200 – £230/day
Technical Support Engineer- Staines/Hybrid- 12 Months- £200-£230 PAYE
A global technology company are looking for an experienced Technical Support Engineer to join their team on an initial 12 month assignment.
In order to be successful in this role you will need to have:
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot difficult technical issues while keeping a professional demeanour
Works well in a team environment
Strong personal commitment to quality and customer service
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in one or more of the following: Email Infrastructure (POP3/IMAP, SMTP), Authentication & Authorisation Technologies (LDAP, SAML), Web Services (SOAP, REST), Data Extraction Technologies (JDBC, ODBC), Networking (HTTP, TCP/IP)
Experience writing or debugging Object Oriented code (Java preferred)
Experience in more or more scripting languages: JavaScript, Python, Perl, Unix Shell, Windows Shell
Experience with relational databases (MySQL, Oracle)Preferred Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
Understanding of ITSM, ITIL or CMDM
Advanced Unix/Linux experience
