Our client leads the way in orthopaedic innovation and are looking for a temporary, experienced kitchen assistant who enjoys the catering environment and can play to their own strengths. Once united with the talented catering team a successful Kitchen assistant will help provide daily meals for the client’s employees.

Hours of shift:

Monday – Thursday 07:00am – 15:00pm
Friday 07:00am – 12:00pm

A successful Kitchen Assistant will have the following skillset:

Experience as a Kitchen or Canteen Assistant or working in a similar environment
A qualification in catering would be desirable
Good food hygiene
Dedicated and reliable to complete essential duties promptly
Exceptional time management, communication, and teamwork skills
The ability to multitask while working in a fast-paced environment 

The key responsibilities for a Kitchen Assistant are as follows:

Prepare meals in line with the weekly lunch menu which includes chopping, slicing, cutting, peeling, and seasoning ingredients
Provide special dietary and allergy information to employees
Assist in the serving of food to employees
Work under the guidance of the Catering Manager to ensure the correct stock and inventory is maintained
Assist with ordering supplies as and when required
Wash and clean up before and after service in the kitchen
Ensure all kitchen equipment and utensils are used following regulations of hygiene and safety
Maintain cleanliness by disposing of rubbish following appropriate procedures
