Our client is a leader in the fast-food industry and they are seeking a talented and creative Test Kitchen Chef to join their team on a temporary basis.
As a Test Kitchen Chef, you will play a vital role in our product development process. You will have the opportunity to experiment with different ingredients, techniques, and flavours, ensuring that our offerings are consistently delicious and meet our high standards.
This position is a Monday to Thursday role, allowing you to enjoy a three-day weekend while pursuing your culinary passions. The role is a temporary contract to start as soon as possible and expected to last a couple of months.
Your key duties will include:
* Prepare and cook a variety of fried chicken dishes, utilizing different methods such as deep frying, grilling, and oven roasting.
* Conduct taste tests and gather feedback to refine recipes, ensuring they meet our brand's flavour profile and quality standards.
* Accurately measure, portion, and document ingredients and cooking procedures for consistency in recipe creation.
* Maintain a clean and organized test kitchen, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Skills required:
* Proven experience as a Chef in a professional kitchen
* Strong knowledge of ingredients, food preparation methods, and cooking techniques.
* Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of taste, presentation and quality
* Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively
* A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
