Training Area Operative – Part Time

Landmarc Support Services are currently seeking to recruit a Training Area Operative at Beckingham Training Area in Beckingham, Lincoln.
As the Training Area Operative, you will be part of a small team that plays a key part in helping to maintain a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to train, supporting with planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance, this pivotal role is essential to the delivery of the contract
We are looking for someone who either has previous knowledge of working on the Defence Training Estate or someone who is keen to learn new skills and brings an enthusiastic willingness to learn, Landmarc will provide full training for the successful applicant.
You will be required to work flexibly over the course of a 20 hour working week between the hours of 07:30-22:30. You will be required to work some weekends, this is reflected in our Variable Days Allowance. Salary is calculated pro rata.

Main ResponsibilitiesPreparing military ranges and training areas for use
Grounds maintenance
Maintenance works on the range and training area
Forestry and arborical work
Equipment testing
Operating plant machinery
Driving and operating vehicles
Use both IT and paper based systems to complete any relevant documentation
The Ideal CandidateKnowledge of Health and Safety, manual handling, risk assessments and safe systems of work
Basic labouring and caretaking skills
Experience of track and fencing maintenance (desirable)
Excellent communication skills
Basic IT skills
Have a full driver’s license valid in the United Kingdom (essential)
